Net fundraising initiative: Strong together for local associations
Maxhütte-Haidhof, October 2022 – With its regional fundraiser, Netto Marken-Discount is supporting 2,418 non-profit associations nationwide. The campaign is supported by Marlene Lufen: the moderator volunteered for an hour at a net cash register in Cologne on October 20, 2022, thus emphasizing the importance of regional clubs.
Marlene Lufen, who is also privately involved as a patron of a regional sports club, drew attention to the net fundraising campaign for the second time this year at a cash register. ” I was happy to be able to support the net fundraiser again with my cash register! That was fun last year and, above all, brought in a lot of money for the sports clubs, and they are an important place for many children and young people. Here they find friends, they can burn off energy and sometimes discuss problems they have at home or at school. I was happy to be there again!” , said the presenter.
The regional fundraiser:Netto Marken-Discount enables its customers to support charitable associations in their area with their purchases for 13 weeks: From September 5th to December 3rd they can simply round up the purchase amount at the checkout to the next 10 cent amount or donate the value of their deposit voucher. In addition, Netto Marken-Discount is doubling the daily customer donations three times: Next, on November 4th, the grocer will double the donations at the till and deposit.
Donations at cash registers and deposit machines – this is how it works: With the wish “Simply round up”, customers at the net cash registers support their local participating club with 1 to 10 cents for every purchase. In addition, the value of the deposit voucher can be donated to the regional associations in all Netto branches during the campaign period until December 3rd. Netto will then support the Tafel Deutschland ¹ with nationwide cash donations and deposits until January 28th . Numerous prominent supporters have already volunteered for the net donation initiative, such as Thomas Gottschalk at a net cash register in southern Germany.
