This latest fundraising effort comes after an earlier €25,000 gift to the Irish Red Cross to assist its Turkish and Syrian Red Crescent colleagues provide shelter, food, and medicine in the worst impacted areas as well as search and rescue support.

Tesco Mobile is offering free calls and texts from Ireland to Turkey and Syria until February 22nd to customers who are reaching out to loved ones in these devastated locations.

Tesco Group, meanwhile, also contributes to humanitarian relief operations through collaborations with the Red Cross, food banks, and other aid agencies. They have contributed a total of €562,000 (£500,000) to the relief efforts by way of donations received in all of our markets.
