Asia-world connectivity
The Group’s most significant acquisition to date, LF Logistics, was finalised by A.P. Moller-Maersk at the end of August 2022.
By the end of 2022, this boosted A.P. Moller – Maersk’s logistics division’s revenue to approximately USD 15 billion and expanded its warehouse footprint to 6 million square metres across more than 450 warehouses. It is an important step in A.P. Moller-strategic Maersk’s goal of providing genuinely integrated end-to-end logistics in order to connect and streamline its customers’ global supply chains.
Most of A.P. Moller – Maersk’s large clients now view Asia Pacific as their primary market for expansion. However, Asian and Western businesses have struggled to optimise their logistics costs, speed, and dependability across the region due to the complex and varied mix of consumer markets in Asia.
LF Logistics aligns with A.P. Moller – Maersk’s strategic aim to support clients’ supply chain needs end-to-end as a reliable partner in control of the assets thanks to its Asia-Pacific vast presence and industry-leading fulfilment capabilities. With this acquisition, A.P. Moller – Maersk will be able to provide its customers with an extremely alluring omnichannel offering that is all delivered by the same business, making it much simpler for customers to reach Asian consumers whether they are shopping online from a desktop or mobile device or in a physical store.
This LF Logistics acquisition will help Maersk fulfil its commitment to connect Asia and the rest of the world, which was made by A.P. Moller.
Having more readily available and accessible commodities from all over the world means consumers will have never-before-seen ease of access to things.
Customers of A.P. Moller – Maersk benefit from having a dependable logistics partner with in-depth operational knowledge, a distinct awareness of global markets, and the ability to provide the scale and flexibility necessary in their supply chain in response to changing business needs.
Employees at A.P. Moller – Maersk have access to chances for global growth and professional development as well as opportunities to cooperate and enhance their knowledge in all areas of fulfilment.
There is a sizable growth pipeline in front of A.P. Moller – Maersk. The Group invested in a six-month period of learning and discovery to merge the best of both organisations, spanning people, processes, product offerings, and technology platforms, to ensure that A.P. Moller – Maersk shape the most ideal organisation to drive this growth. By the conclusion of Q1 2023, complete integration is the goal.
