Carrefour, via Carrefour Location, is to get new, improved electric vehicles, including two Tesla models, starting in June 2022. The retailer is the first to feature such an offering.
An affordable vehicle rental service
Carrefour Location, the leading vehicle rental network with 850 branches in France, is speeding up the expansion of its offering. It has just introduced a range of new electric tourism vehicles,
including the Tesla Model Y and the Tesla Model 3—two long-range cars offering uniquely digital experiences.
Until July 31 and in nearly 30 of its stores*, Carrefour Location will be offering Tesla cars at the highly affordable price of only €59 for the first day of rental.
Thereafter, prices will vary depending on model and period of the week (between €119 and €149 on subsequent days). Initially, Tesla vehicles will be available at 80 Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets. They will then be available more widely in 2023.
Charging terminals for everyone
This offering is being rolled out in tandem with Carrefour Energies across its 5000 electric charging stations that will be made available over the next three years at all of its hypermarkets and market stores. The electricity provided will be 100% green.
Our customers’ relationship with mobility is changing faster and faster! To keep pace with our range and provide our customers with a unique experience while at the same time helping them with their own energy, Carrefour is bolstering its rental service with an innovative range of electric cars, including the iconic Tesla. The new transition was announced by Jean-Baptiste Prévoteau, Director of In-Store Services at Carrefour France.
