At MWC Barcelona 2023, Huawei will present 10 new solutions that will push all bands towards 5G.
In Barcelona in 2023, Huawei will introduce and present 10 new high-performance, energy-efficient wireless network products and solutions. All bands will evolve to 5G as a result of 5G’s quick development. Huawei’s 10 new wireless technologies and solutions not only provide market-leading performance but are also simpler to manage and maintain (simplified O&M), easier to install, and allow operators optimise the value of each band and continually improve network capabilities in numerous dimensions. The new products are future-ready in that they can adapt when new customer requirements emerge while maintaining high levels of energy efficiency.
#1 Improved MetaAAU with ELAA: “0 bit, 0 watt” for the least amount of energy usage and most energy effectiveness
The new ELAA-upgraded MetaAAU can provide exceptional coverage with optimal energy efficiency and ultra-low power consumption under a light load by combining modern software and hardware, such as extremely large antenna array (ELAA) and the AHR algorithm. The updated MetaAAU can deliver the same coverage with 50% less power than standard AAUs, and during idle times, it can reduce that power to less than 10 W.
#2 MetaAAU with the highest integration in the market and the largest bandwidth in the sector at 800 MHz; a single module for easier deployment of entire C-band a single antenna for all sub-6 GHz bands’ ideal configuration
Huawei will introduce the 800 MHz MetaAAU, which offers the greatest bandwidth in the market for discrete spectrum applications. The ultra-wideband MetaAAU can cover the entire C-band thanks to cutting-edge developments in ultra-wideband RF modules, power amplification, and algorithms. This facilitates the future deployment of 3400 MHz to 3800 MHz as well as 3800 MHz to 4200 MHz.
Huawei will introduce Meta BladeAAU by creatively fusing the Meta and Blade technologies for scenarios with constrained antenna installation space. All sub-6 GHz bands can be installed on a single pole thanks to the Meta BladeAAU. Its passive portion is improved to 2L8H to provide on-demand optimal configuration of sub-3 GHz, while its active part is upgraded to MetaAAU to achieve optimal energy efficiency and performance for TDD bands.
#3 At under 12 kg, the industry’s lightest macro base station M-MIMO
Huawei’s new 32T32R M-MIMO module for macro base stations weights only 12 kg thanks to ongoing innovation in M-MIMO system building. In addition to being highly effective, it also has the lightest design in the market, making it easy to install and carry with just one person. This improves the effectiveness of network construction for operators.
#4 Ultra-wideband 4T4R RRU with the lowest power consumption in the industry, worry-free deployment of all FDD bands, and 20% less power usage
The ultra-wideband FDD RRU series from Huawei continues to have the lowest power consumption in the market. Ultra-wideband 4T4R remote radio unit (RRU) provides simpler deployment of all FDD bands and all radio access technologies (RATs) while reducing energy consumption by 20% and using the most recent hardware and algorithms. The RRU’s built-in PIM interference cancellation technology and SingleCell software upgrade help to 20% increase edge user-perceived rate.
#5 The industry’s top performer, the ultra-wideband 8T8R RRU has an all-scenario optimal power consumption and increases performance by 40%.
Ultra-wideband 8T8R RRU may concurrently increase network capacity and coverage thanks to the high-precision beamforming technology developed for FDD bands in 5G New Radio, which enhances user experience by 40%. The Power-Boosting technology offers 100% dynamic power sharing between carriers and between RATs in circumstances with medium and heavy loads, enabling the same performance at 30% less power usage. Power-Adapting allows on-demand power scheduling in light-load conditions to ensure equal basic power usage for 8T8R and 4T4R RRUs.
#6 The most effective large-scale commercial FDD M-MIMO in the industry; FDD BladeAAU for the simplest sub-3 GHz deployment on a single pole
The ability of Huawei’s FDD M-MIMO to improve capacity by five times has led to widespread commercialization throughout the world. Advanced transparent antenna technology and FDD M-MIMO are combined in the recently released FDD BladeAAU. The maximum sub-3 GHz coverage and capacity are achieved when single-pole deployment is supported.
With the industry’s highest integration, the easiest deployment, the least amount of power used, and distributed M-MIMO for the best experience, LampSite 5.0 ranks seventh in the race towards ubiquity of gigabit Internet.
TDD+FDD is supported by Huawei’s LampSite 5.0 in a multi-band, multi-RAT configuration. Due to its high integration design, it has a 25% reduction in weight and volume as well as a 40% reduction in site power usage. It converts interference into gains and brings 4-fold network capacity with the help of the industry’s one-of-a-kind distributed M-MIMO, enabling ubiquitous gigabit experience. For situations like those found in airports, train stations, and shopping centres, it has emerged as the top option.
#8 SDIF: 20% greater all-band energy efficiency, becoming the industry’s top sustainable developer
The innovative antenna technology used only by Huawei is called signal direct injection feeding (SDIF). It reduces impedance loss greatly, improves amplitude and phase precision, eliminates a significant amount of feeders and cables, and increases overall antenna RF efficiency. The energy efficiency of all bands is increased by 20% thanks to Huawei’s SDIF technology, which is built for all antenna settings and series to satisfy band- and region-specific configuration requirements.
#9 Next-generation MAGICSwave: full wideband, all-band new 2T, and ultra-long reach, enabling total transport network upgrading
More carriers can be aggregated thanks to the new 2T solutions that support traditional bands (with 800 MHz capacity). The new E-band-compatible 2T solutions offer 25 Gbps of capacity. Also, their transmission distance is 50% greater than the best in the sector due to higher transmission power and sophisticated beam tracking antennas.
#10 IntelligentRAN: signifying a new direction for RAN intelligence with doubled energy savings gains, excellent performance, and simplified O&M.
The radio access network (RAN) gains intelligence thanks to Huawei IntelligentRAN, which offers three key features: iPowerstar, iHashband, and iFaultcare. The iPowerstar doubles the energy-saving effect compared to conventional solutions, according to the results of the live network test, while the iHashband enhances user experience by 30% and the iFaultcare increases troubleshooting effectiveness by 40%. In-depth collaboration between all bands and all scenarios will be made possible by intelligent RAN, which will bring diverse intelligent applications to more scenarios.
The ten new solutions from Huawei will give operators the tools they need to transition all bands to 5G while offering users the best possible mobile network experience. In order to create a 5G future where everyone wins, Huawei will continue to develop alongside worldwide consumers.
The 2023 MWC Barcelona will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from February 27 to March 2. Huawei will display its goods and services in Fira Gran Via Hall 1 at stand 1H50. We will discuss themes like new industry growth, 5G business success, 5.5G, green development, digital transformation, and our vision of applying the GUIDE business plan to open an intelligent future with global operators, industry professionals, and opinion leaders.
