August 26, 2024 – Oakdale, NY – The Fresh Grocer has officially opened its first location on Long Island, marking a significant expansion for the popular supermarket brand. The grand opening took place on August 23 at the new store located in Lighthouse Commons, 885 Montauk Highway, Oakdale.
Spanning 26,000 square feet, the new Fresh Grocer offers Oakdale residents a full-service supermarket experience, featuring a wide array of high-quality fresh foods, groceries, and prepared items. The store is operated by K. Thompson Foods, a family-owned company with a strong commitment to quality and customer service.
