The dish is designed to cook quickly in 35 minutes, which also caters to the air grill trend, in line with the preferences of many Australians who embrace this new kitchen trend

Since its recent launch, the test has seen tremendous success, with more than 90,000 units sold to date. Some of the most requested items include Mexican chicken with vegetables (1.6kg), chicken parmigiana with mush and vegetables (1.6kg), and Spanish with paella (1.2kg).

These new dine-in products cater to the changing consumer landscape, as Australians increasingly choose to eat at home rather than eat out, driven by economic appetite. Woolworths research shows that 40 per cent of shoppers cut down on or avoid eating out altogether to manage their budget.

Notably, there has been a twofold increase in demand for prepared meals at Woolworths since July last year, indicating a growing demand for convenient meal solutions at home

Matt Harbich, merchandise manager for chilled meals at Woolworths, emphasizes the company’s commitment to providing customers with tasty products to suit all time-constrained families and budgets.

Currently available in selected stores in NSW and Victoria, Woolworths plans to expand the range of Dine In based on initial customer feedback. The assortment will continue to evolve to meet changing consumer preferences.
