Aldi Süd Launches Local Supply Center With 115 Apartments In Waldbronn, Near Karlsruhe

Aldi Süd Launches Local Supply Center! After approximately two and a half years of construction, the retailers are unveiling their new local supply centre in Waldbronn today.

Developed by ALDI SÜD, this mixed-use property near Karlsruhe combines retail and residential spaces, enhancing the local infrastructure. Nearly a quarter of the apartments are set aside for social subsidies.

While interior work on the upper floors progresses, three retailers have opened their doors on the ground floor of the local supply centre (Talstrasse 10, Waldbronn).

ALDI SÜD, along with its retail partners, occupies 3,000 square meters of space, offering a diverse range of products, predominantly featuring its brands at competitive prices.

This initiative improves local accessibility and facilitates convenient shopping within the community. Notably, no additional land was required for these residential and commercial buildings, which boast eco-friendly features such as green roofs and solar thermal energy.

Strategically located near the Karlsruhe technology region, the centre serves as an attractive hub for living and business activities.

Christof Hake, Managing Director of Real Estate at ALDI SÜD, emphasizes the project’s value for the local community, highlighting the successful collaboration with partners and the city of Waldbronn.

This achievement demonstrates ALDI SÜD’s commitment to delivering impactful construction projects on time and economically sustainably, particularly in the face of rising costs affecting many developments.
