Dunkin Iced Coffee Day! Dunkin’ and the Joy in Childhood Foundation announced that this year’s Iced Coffee Day raised a record $2.1 million. The annual event dedicated to helping children fighting hunger or disease took place on June 20, the first day of summer.
The greatest year ever
For the past three years, Dunkin’ franchisees have donated $1 for every iced coffee sold on Iced Coffee Day. This year, customers across the country showed tremendous support, making it the most successful fundraiser to date, surpassing last year’s $1.7 million.
Supporting local pediatric hospitals
All proceeds from Iced Coffee Day are distributed to local children’s hospitals. These clinics use the grants to support children’s social program needs, including summer camps for children with cancer and other illnesses, medically safe events like carnival bowling, and what etc. Clinics seek support for art, music, dance therapy, family and youth furniture, . and emotional representations. These programs provide comfort and joy to children and their families during stressful times.
Celebrates Victory
Dunkin’ Franchisee and Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation Board of Directors Chairman Victor Carvalho expressed gratitude for the support: “Thank you to our Dunkin’ franchisees and our incredible guests for making Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day 2024 one for the record books. The $2.1 million raised will bring tremendous joy to children facing challenges across the country.”
Pictures of happy events
To celebrate Iced Coffee Day, the foundation hosted “Painting with Joy” events at hospitals across the country. Pediatric patients and their families painted their favorite Dunkin’ Donuts or expressed their creativity on any number of canvases. Celebrities such as Jess Sims, Ann Wilson, Nikki Maher, Ian Brownhill and the UConn men’s basketball team participated in these events.
