SIAL Start-Up 2024 Showcases Future of FoodTech
Paris, July 29, 2024 – This year’s SIAL Paris 2024 will be focusing on showcasing the future of FoodTech through its SIAL Start-Up program. Taking place from October 8th to October 10th, there will be more than 150 innovative start-ups from around the world exhibiting at this event and presenting their cutting-edge solutions in the agro-food sector.
A Hub for FoodTech Innovation – SIAL Start-Up 2024
For this year’s exhibition space in the heart of the exhibition area has been expanded to 1,500 square meters. Designed to inspire and connect industry stakeholders together this collaborative effort between SIAL Paris and Startup Sesame includes a wide range of pitch sessions, conferences, networking opportunities.

A Platform for Emerging Trends
SIAL Paris has always been known as an incubator for food innovation. During this year’s event startups are expected to showcase new ways in different areas that include but not limited to:
- Sustainable Food Solutions: Innovations that work towards reducing waste within food industry by promoting zero waste practices.
- Alternative Proteins: New products which offer plant-based or insect derived sources for protein alternatives besides meat consumption.
- Healthy Beverages: Drinks rich in nutrients with added taste appeal.
- Advanced Food Delivery: Modern consumer market requires innovative logistics & distribution solutions for meeting their needs efficiently.
Global & Local Innovations Highlighted
Innovative companies from all parts of the world will display their ground-breaking products and technologies. SoilMates (Netherlands) is well-known for producing top quality avocado oil from visually imperfect avocados while Las Jellys (Spain) creates alcohol infused jelly cocktails. French start-up Yumgo has come up with 100% plant based egg alternative.
Investment & Growth Opportunities
The aim of SIAL Start-Up is to link new ventures with potential investors. In line with various investment themes there will be many pitch sessions during this event which can help startups secure funding that is critical for their survival stage. Some confirmed participating venture capital firms include Big Idea Ventures, Clave Capital and Five Seasons Ventures among others.
Special Focus on DeepTech and AI
On October 21st there shall be a dedicated SIAL Summit centered around DeepTech and AI’s impact on the food industry during this event. It will explore how advanced data collection & processing technologies can revolutionize production processes while enhancing customer experience thus promoting sustainable practices across entire value chain.
Record-Breaking SIAL Paris 2024
Expected to attract more than 7,500 exhibitors showcasing over 400,000 products, SIAL Paris 2024 promises to be one of the largest International Food Exhibitions ever held in history. The exhibition alone will draw at least 285k professionals from all corners of the globe representing about 205 countries thereby making it an important platform for generating business leads as well as gaining market insights within global F&B sector.
