LAUSANNE, September 10, 2024 – Sara De Simoni appointed as Tetra Pak’s new Executive Vice President (EVP) of Development & Technology (D&T), effective from September 1, 2024. In her new role, Sara De Simoni will focus on driving innovation, enhancing commercial agility, and spearheading sustainable packaging solutions for Tetra Pak’s global customers.
With more than 24 years of experience at Tetra Pak, Sara De Simoni has contributed to various innovations across solutions development, programme management, and equipment engineering. Her expertise will be critical in delivering high-value solutions to customers while accelerating the company’s mission to create the world’s most sustainable paper-based food and beverage packaging.
Tetra Pak CEO Adolfo Orive praised her appointment, noting the significant role she will play in Tetra Pak’s leadership team. Based in Lausanne, Switzerland, she will report directly to Orive, collaborating closely with Tetra Pak’s global teams to push the boundaries of packaging innovation.
Speaking on her new role, Sara De Simoni expressed her excitement to lead the talented Development & Technology team. “I see this as an opportunity to drive forward our pursuit of innovation, design excellence, and groundbreaking sustainable packaging solutions,” she said. “Our focus will always be on delivering solutions that put our customers at the center of everything we do.”
Sara De Simoni’s extensive background includes managing Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions in Modena, Italy, and serving as Vice President of Programme Management in D&T. Her technical skills and leadership will be pivotal in shaping the future of sustainable packaging and driving the company’s commitment to a circular economy.
