Herman Troskie: The Next Chair Of Ardagh Group
Herman Troskie will take over as chair of Ardagh Group, following Paul Coulson. Who has opted to stand down from his role as chair of Ardagh Group and its 76-owned subsidiary Ardagh Metal Packaging on November 15, 2023. Ardagh Group has appointed Herman Troskie.
Herman Troskie is the Chair of Ardagh Group S.A.’s board of directors and has served on the board since 2009. He formerly served as CEO of Corporate, Legal, and Tax Advisory at Stonehage Fleming, a worldwide family office. Mr. Troskie also serves on the boards of other private and public firms, including those in the Yeoman group.
As its next chair, according to a statement released by the firm, Coulson will maintain his position as a director of Ardagh Group, Ardagh Metal Packaging, and ARD Holdings. He will also continue to be the majority shareholder of ARD Holdings.
Since 1998, Mr. Coulson has been chairperson of Ardagh Group. During his tenure there he was instrumental in expanding the company from a single-plant glass business in Dublin to a global leader in sustainable glass and metal packaging. It has operations across Europe, America and Africa.
According to Ardagh, he has actively participated in several other companies’ launches and growth during the last four decades. These include Fahad Fisheries, an Irish firm specializing in salmon farming, and Sterile Technologies, and a medical waste management company. Which have acquired by another company in 2006. Herman Troskie, presently serving as a director of Ardagh Group, ARD Holdings S.A. and Ardagh Metal Packaging. He will assume the chair of all three firms in November.
At that time, he will also begin working full-time for Ardagh. According to the firm, this change marks the conclusion of a succession process that, in recent years, resulted in the appointment of Oliver Graham as CEO of Ardagh Metal Packaging and Michael Dick as CEO of Ardagh Glass Packaging. This shift marks the climax of this process.
