The NORMA Group has received a significant order for joining solutions for electric vehicles.

 

• NORMA Group will equip several BEV premium models with cooling water line connectors.

• Order volume of approximately EUR 34.6 million

• Investments in the main manufacturing site

November 22, 2022, Maintal, Germany NORMA Group has received a new significant order for joining solutions for electric vehicles.

From July 2023 to 2030, NORMA Group will install hose connectors, hose adapters, and quick connectors on several of the customer’s battery-electric premium models. The order is worth approximately EUR 34.6 million in total.

The connection products from NORMA Group are installed in cooling water lines and used to cool various units in the vehicle, including the battery.

Hose connectors and quick connectors have long been a part of the NORMA Group portfolio. In collaboration with the customer, NORMA Group development engineers customised them for this order.

The NORMA Group has received a significant order for joining solutions in electric vehicles.

NORMA Group’s plants in Maintal, Germany, and Pilica, Poland, produce the joining products. A temperature sensor is included in some of the parts to ensure optimal operating temperature.

To meet the increased demand, NORMA Group is investing in injection moulding production at the Maintal site, new quick connector assembly machines, and employee training.
