The 2023 Game Changers Scholarship presented by The Kroger Foundation and Always® Brand is now accepting applications from Kroger and P&G.

Women in business, education, and sports are “changing the game” thanks to a second-annual scholarship initiative.

The 2023 Game Changers Scholarship application process is officially open, according to an announcement made today by The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) and The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG). 23 $2,000 scholarships for diverse female undergraduate students pursuing degrees or certificates in the business, sciences, technology, and/or liberal arts will be given out in the program’s second year. P&G’s Always® Brand and The Kroger Foundation are the sponsors of the scholarship.

The Game Changers Scholarship received an overwhelming amount of applications in its first year, according to Kate Meyer, vice president of Kroger Health & Beauty Care. “With P&G’s help, we are thrilled to expand the programme to young women across the nation this year and boost the number of scholarships given out. The Always Brand and Kroger are pleased to collaborate and give young women the chance to set themselves up for success both inside and outside of the classroom.”

Kroger and P&G created the Game Changers platform to support women in business, sports, and academia. This commitment includes the Queen City Game Changers, a top-notch women’s leadership programme, in addition to the scholarship programme, to hasten the advancement of women into executive leadership positions. Along with the LPGA Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G, each of these events takes place.

According to Pat Cady, senior vice president of sales at P&G, “P&G is thrilled to join with Kroger to alter the game for women in business, education, and sports through the Game Changers Platform.” “At the LPGA Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G this fall, we are thrilled to once again welcome the best golfers in the world. We will also keep stoking the fires of the Game Changers Scholarship Program and the Game Changers Women’s Leadership Program.”

At the Kenwood Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio, September 4–10 will see the 2023 LPGA Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G.

The selection of excellent women from diverse backgrounds who have financial need will be based on an overall evaluation of their academic performance, leadership potential, moral character, community service, and involvement in school. Candidates must be enrolled in or admitted to part-time or full-time programmes during the academic year 2023–2024 at an approved, non-profit college, university, technical or vocational institution to be eligible for selection. Candidates must be female, come from a diverse background, and be pursuing an undergraduate degree or certificate in the liberal arts, sciences, or business. Candidates must have an unmet financial need as assessed by the Student Aid Report and a cumulative high school or college GPA of 3.0/4.0 as shown on the transcript (SAR). This award is not valid for any dependents of Kroger or P&G employees.

The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) and Scholarship Management Resources (SMR), an independent provider of scholarship services, are in charge of managing the scholarship programme, including the selection of the awardees. This framework guarantees a selection process that is impartial and fact-based. Visit here to learn more about the programme and to start the application process. The application date is May 12, 2023.
