SPAR Retail Associates Colruyt Group Belgium introduces the foodservice concept ‘SPAR For You’

One of the licensed SPAR brand owners in Belgium, SPAR Retail Partners Colruyt Group, has introduced the foodservice concept “SPAR For You” for its Business to Business (B2B) clients.

The idea was developed in response to contemporary trends like mobile consumption and flexible working. Since one in two Belgian workers no longer eats lunch at work, new options are being investigated. Employers have been searching for new ways to work even more cost-effectively for the previous two years.

Three remedies

The SPAR license holder in Belgium uses the “SPAR For You” foodservice concept to provide businesses with three choices in an effort to meet this demand.

The smallest of the three solutions is made up of smart refrigerators from Colruyt group’s B2B foodservice company, Solucious. The food corner, which might also include a seating area, has two smart refrigerators, a coffee maker, a water tap, and industrial microwave ovens, is the second choice. The largest of the three alternatives is a minimarket, which allows employees to do their grocery shopping at work and offers self-service and a wide variety of food, drinks, and non-food items.

The installation of smart refrigerators at the ISS headquarters and SN Brussels Airlines is one of many “SPAR For You” test projects that have been set up recently. At the start of 2023, the Braine-l’Alleud location of the multinational Belgian biopharmaceutical company UCB installed three separate “SPAR For You” fixtures.
