SPAR Kosovo’s One Tree Planted effort makes the capital city greener.
In cooperation with the Municipal Parks Directorate, SPAR Kosovo has joined the SPAR One Tree Planted campaign by planting trees in the capital city Pristina.
2022 represents a momentous occasion for the global SPAR family as we celebrate the brand’s 90th anniversary.Â
In recognition of this milestone, we have taken action locally and internationally by coming together to plant hundreds of thousands of trees in SPAR communities worldwide. SPAR has always had a close affinity and connection to trees and the environment. Not only is a Fir tree an inherent element of our identity, but we have always prided ourselves on being a sustainable retailer focused on giving back. Â
Our global tree planting initiative is called SPAR One Tree Planted. It symbolises the simple action of putting trees into the ground, one tree at a time.Â
SPAR Kosovo has planted 14 trees using the proceeds of an instore fundraising campaign between 8
 and 22 April, collecting approximately €1,100.Â
Shoppers could contribute to the campaign by purchasing selected products. For each product purchased, SPAR Kosovo allotted €0.10 to its tree planting fund.Â
The campaign was communicated to shoppers through social media, shelf wobblers, instore posters, and promotional leaflets.
