SPAR has just opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art supermarket in Croatia.
On December 20, SPAR Croatia opened a brand-new SPAR Supermarket in Jastrebarsko, a town southwest of the nation’s capital Zagreb. The fresh food selection, which includes a wide variety of fresh fish and meat at service counters, is given special attention. The store is run by a group of 30 people, creating new job opportunities for the neighborhood.
One of the distinguishing characteristics of this SPAR supermarket is the extensive selection of saltwater and freshwater fish, as well as other types of fish, which are always kept in pristine condition in the fish section. The fish counter now offers a service that prepares fish, which is a new and exciting addition. Another one of this shop’s many strong points is its butchery, which offers a diverse selection of fresh cuts of meat.
The food service portion of the store provides clients with a wide selection of hot, ready-to-eat alternatives for lunch and dinner, all of which are cooked fresh on a daily basis within the store itself.
The non-food assortment features a vast number of products for the home, garden, animals, and household, in addition to a vast selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, bakery goods, and other food products.
Customers are able to finish their purchases in a timely and easy manner at the cutting-edge self-service cash registers.
At the opening event, both the mayor of the town and Helmut Fenzl, the chief executive officer of SPAR Croatia, were in attendance.
SPAR Croatia demonstrated its commitment to the local community by making a donation of €2,650 on the store’s opening day. The money was given to two local charities: the majorettes from Jastrebarsko and the town’s volunteer fire department.
