Smurfit Westrock Debuts on New York and London Stock Exchanges

Smurfit Westrock plc, a world leader in sustainable packaging, is proud to announce that it has listed primarily on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the abbreviation ‘SW’. This merger happened on July 5, 2024 when Smurfit Kappa merged with WestRock. Additionally, it is planning for full listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the abbreviation ‘SWR’.

By employing more than one hundred thousand people and operating in forty countries, they stands aside from other companies by its wide range of renewable and recyclable packaging solutions which are diverse yet innovative and sustainable.

According to the CEO, Tony Smurfit, this merge was so exciting as he said “Combining Smurfit Kappa & WestRock creates a world leading sustainable packaging player bringing together an immense amount of experience & both firms expertise. The LSE commenced trading earlier today at 8:00am BST. While NYSE will start trading at 9:30am EDT after a bell-ringing ceremony.

With this debut, the company becomes the undisputed global leader in sustainable packaging.
