Service modifications for sailings to/from Asia
Due to the anticipated declines in worldwide demand, Maersk has made the decision to take measures in order to balance the network. As a result, our TP20 service will be temporarily suspended until further notice.
Our overarching objective is still to give our customers certainty and guarantee that their supply chain is only minimally disrupted by offering suitable alternate routes and coverage for the impacted vessel positions.
The other route options during the TP20 phase-out period, which could span a few weeks, are outlined below:
- From Jakarta, TP20 ships will go as coastal loaders to China and connect to the corresponding USWC and Gulf threads.
- In order to connect to TP11 and/or TP17, Sealand feeders will pre-carry freight from Jakarta to Singapore/Tanjung Pelepas.
- The export from Vung Tau will alternately be covered by TP17 and TP6.
- The alternative strings TP11, TP12, and TP18 will be loaded upon import into Jakarta and Vung Tau.
In comparison to today, we anticipate that the aforementioned structure will offer similar or even improved travel times for the majority of corridors. Please get more information by getting in touch with our local staff for the smaller routes noted above.
