Charlotte, NC, September 9, 2024 – Sealed Air (NYSE: SEE) has partnered with Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) to provide innovative packaging solutions that incorporate more recycled content in their shipping materials. Best Buy, a leading electronics and technology retailer. It is now using Sealed Air products to reduce virgin plastic in their packaging. And supporting their commitment to a circular economy.
Sealed Air packaging solutions include BUBBLE WRAP® brand products made from recycled plastic, helping Best Buy lower its environmental impact. The packaging solutions feature a minimum of 90% recycled plastic in cushioning materials and 50% recycled plastic content in inflatable air pillows. These sustainable materials approved by How2Recycle (H2R) label, allowing for easy recycling through curbside or store drop-off programs.
Tiffani Burt, Ph.D., Sealed Air’s VP of Materials Innovation, emphasized the significance of collaboration in sustainability efforts. “Making sustainability progress cannot be done alone. Best Buy’s commitment to recycled-content solutions demonstrates real strides in reducing virgin plastic.”

In addition to these new packaging solutions, Sealed Air also helped Best Buy recycle plastic waste from its distribution centers, furthering both companies’ environmental goals.
