Sam’s Club Opening 2 New Distribution distribution centers in St. Louis & Minneapolis Areas
Sam’s Club, a part of Walmart Inc., is set to open two new distribution centers in early 2024 near St. Louis and Minneapolis. These centers are part of a larger plan to enhance Sam’s Club’s supply chain and improve the shopping experience for its members.
The first center, a 370,000-square-foot facility in Edwardsville, Ill., will open in January 2024, creating over 100 jobs. The second, a 365,000-square-foot facility in Shakopee, Minn., is scheduled for March 2024 and will employ more than 80 people.
These new centers aim to enhance the speed and availability of in-store and online products for Sam’s Club members. Joseph Godsey, SVP of Supply Chain at Sam’s Club, highlighted the importance of these centers in improving the overall shopping experience for members.
This announcement follows Sam’s Club’s plans to open new centers in Oklahoma City, Okla., and Lithia Springs, Ga., for improved operations.
