SABIC Partners with Formula E to Further Develop Electric Vehicles Innovation
SABIC has also recently deepened its investment in electric mobility by becoming a Principal and Innovation Partner for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. This partnership took the limelight during the Jeddah E-Prix on February 14 and 15, 2025, where SABIC participated in sustainable mobility initiatives.
EV Innovation Focus at the Jeddah E-Prix
This championship event included Rounds 3 and 4 which took place on a newly constructed circuit at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The event was exciting not only for the spectators but also showed increasing development of Saudi Arabia in the world of motorsports.
SABIC’s partnership with Formula E is part of its larger sustainability objectives, advocating for initiatives aimed at clean transportation. The company presented its new products with the most recent innovations in materials and design of electric vehicles.
SABIC’s GENBETA Program to Boost EV Innovation
Since joining Formula E in 2022, SABIC has partnered with them to undertake several pionerring projects such as the GENBETA development program. This program is aimed at demonstrating their capability to develop next generation solutions for electric vehicles and test their performance and efficiency.
In collaboration with GENBETA, SABIC looks to eliminate the chasm between motorsport and consumer EVs, accelerating the integration of green technologies in automotive vehicles.
Stand Initiatives Foster Visitor Participation
SABIC showcased a stall during the Jeddah E-Prix where they talked about the production of electric vehicles and the contribution of advanced materials to automotive engineering. Participants analyzed other technologies that aid in making vehicles more compact, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
SABIC’s display focused on “Chemistry that Matters” slogan, showcasing how their technology enables the transition to greener mobility which substantiates SABIC’s commitment to sustainability.
