Women’s Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship:

Over $9.6 million were invested into women’s economic development projects last year alone bringing total investments since 2020 to more than $41 million; this also represents an increase over previous years’ figures due largely because funds were channeled towards innovative schemes that targeted women who are hardest hit by poverty while at same time promoting their participation in decision-making processes related thereto which enhances their self-esteem and overall well-being thereby contributing towards achievement of sustainable development goals.

Cause Marketing:

$4.3+ million were spent on cause marketing activities including but not limited to QVC U.S.’s Living for Giving campaign where customers can make donations during live broadcasts or online shopping events like HSN’s support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through its annual “Dreamathon” program among others.

Qurate Retail Group Contributions Summary 2023 and Highlights for 2022

During 2022 alone, Qurate Retail Group raised more than $32.9 million for over 1,022 charitable organizations worldwide with the following results:

Employee volunteer hours worked:

Over 7095 hours were recorded representing an increase of 125% compared to the previous year. These additional days impacted multiple charities in different parts of the world. Especially those where there was no previous presence or involvement by volunteers from this company. Hence it was necessary to create new relationships between them based on mutual understanding and respect towards achieving common objectives. Which further strengthened their global solidarity among people living under diverse socio-economic conditions around our planet earth.

Team member giving:

Over $916K given as part of together for good program which matches donations made by employees up to two hundred percent

Product & In-Kind Donations:

They donate more than $18.7 million worth of goods worldwide through local organizations. Which are working with disaster affected communities in seventeen different countries. These distributions were also done internationally via world vision international network partner organization Cornerstone Brands Inc.

Women’s Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship:

Over $9.1 million invested into women-led businesses last year alone. Which brings total investments since 2020 to more than $30.3 million. This represents a significant leap forward compared to earlier years. Because it was realized that many projects failed due to lack of adequate financial support coupled with other factors. Such as limited access to credit facilities among women entrepreneurs. Who were also faced with gender-based discrimination in various spheres. These including markets where their products compete against those produced by men only resulting into low sales volumes. Thus, impacting negatively on overall economic empowerment efforts targeted at this group which requires urgent redress through provision of funding sources specifically tailored towards addressing these challenges.

Cause Marketing:

$9.1+ million spent on cause marketing activities including but not limited to QVC U.S.’s Living for Giving campaign benefiting Feeding America, HSN and Cornerstone’s support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through its annual “Dreamathon” program among others.
