Oracle has introduced cutting-edge generative AI services for healthcare institutions. These services are seamlessly integrated with Oracle’s electronic health record (EHR) solutions, giving birth to the Oracle Clinical Digital Assistant. This groundbreaking tool empowers healthcare providers by combining the capabilities of generative AI with voice commands, reducing manual workloads, and enabling them to prioritize patient care. Additionally, it offers patients the convenience of performing self-service tasks like appointment scheduling and accessing clinical information through simple voice commands.

The Oracle Clinical Digital Assistant, powered by generative AI, addresses the challenge of healthcare providers appearing disconnected due to extensive screen time during appointments. This innovative solution allows physicians to offer their undivided attention to patients while simplifying administrative tasks. Combining voice and screen-based interactions, the assistant uses generative AI for automated note-taking and suggests context-aware actions, like medication orders or lab scheduling.

Moreover, Oracle Clinical Digital Assistant responds to conversational voice commands from providers. Additionally, this digital assistant platform introduces new patient self-service features. Patients can take control of their healthcare through voice commands, scheduling appointments, paying bills, and obtaining generative AI-driven answers to questions like “What happens during a colonoscopy?” These capabilities empower healthcare providers to enhance patient engagement and retention while mitigating revenue loss by addressing common issues such as missed appointments. These features are currently available.
