PepsiCo Announces New Chief Financial Officer

PURCHASE, N.Y., Nov. 6, 2023 – PepsiCo, Inc. announced that Hugh Johnston, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, will leave. He will exit PepsiCo on November 30 after 34 years of dedicated service. Johnston will join The Walt Disney Company as Chief Financial Officer in December.

PepsiCo appointed James (Jamie) Caulfield as its new Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Caulfield currently serves as Senior Vice President, CFO of PepsiCo Foods North America.

Jamie Caulfield has a successful track record of over 30 years within PepsiCo. He previously led PepsiCo’s investor relations from 2011 to 2019. Caulfield’s experience spans across finance, strategy, and corporate development roles throughout PepsiCo. He has also held senior positions in North America Beverages and Frito-Lay.

Ramon Laguarta, Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, praised Caulfield’s appointment, highlighting his vast experience across multiple business units. “Jamie’s commitment and deep knowledge of our business make him the ideal successor,” Laguarta remarked.

Laguarta also expressed deep appreciation for Hugh Johnston’s leadership. Johnston guided PepsiCo through significant transformation during his tenure as Chief Financial Officer since 2010. “Hugh’s calm leadership and financial expertise will leave a lasting legacy at PepsiCo,” added Laguarta.

Johnston, reflecting on his journey, called his 34-year career at PepsiCo a lifelong honor. He expressed gratitude for the relationships built and the trust received throughout his time with the company.
