Morrisons makes a further £25 million price lowering investment.

– Prices slashed by almost 20 percent on over 60 breakfast items and cupboard essentials as well as fresh produce –
– In the last 6 months Morrisons has invested £148 million into cutting prices –
– Latest price cuts follow reductions to 1,000 items in January –

Morrisons is cutting the prices of 64 of its own brand products in a new round of price cuts that start today. This is part of the company’s ongoing effort to help its customers’ money go further.

Morrisons has spent £25 million to cut prices by an average of 19% on items like fresh salad vegetables, carrots, potatoes, and potatoes, as well as pantry staples like coffee and rice. So far, Morrisons has spent £148 million in the last six months to lower the prices of popular, essential, and entry-level products.

Promotional offers will also help customers get more for their money, like two bags of chips for £2, three soft drinks for £2, and two boxes of cereal for £1.80.

The investment is the latest step Morrisons has taken to lower prices. Last month, prices were cut on 1,000 products, and in January and February, 5p was taken off the price of fuel, and My Morrisons Exclusives were made available to My Morrisons members.

David Potts, the CEO, said, “We’re only seven weeks into 2023, and this is already the fifth big price change we’ve seen so far. These latest price cuts come on the heels of two big in-store price cuts that affected more than 1,000 products and two strong fuel promotions. This shows that we are determined to help our customers’ wallets.
