Metsa Board Gets Recognized for Sustainability with a Triple ‘A’ CDP Score
Masta Board, part of Masta Group, has received a distinguished score of triple A from the global environmental NGO, the CDP. This score has been awarded to the company due to their effective measures in combating climate change, conserving forests, and securing water resources.
Masta Board is one of the handful of companies in the world to achieve a triple ‘A’ rating. More than 23,000 businesses were evaluated, and only a tiny fraction made it to the A List. CDP assessments show Masta Boards continuous efforts towards achieving the highest level of sustainability, alongside transparency in their environmental reports.
Masta Boards goals are set for the long-term, aiming to become 100 percent fossil free for both production and raw materials by the year 2030. Along with this, the company plans on reducing process water use by 35 percent per tonne produced compared to 2018 levels while implementing regenerative forestry practices in the wood supply chain.
