McDonald’s USA Expands Krispy Kreme® Doughnut Test to About 160 Locations in Louisville and Lexington
*Revised on February 27, 2023: Take a bite of this: starting next month, McDonald’s will extend its market test to introduce Krispy Kreme® doughnuts to more nearby restaurants. Starting on March 21, we’ll be offering three Krispy Kreme fan favourites at about 160 locations throughout Louisville, Lexington, and the neighbouring area: the Original Glazed® Doughnut, the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut, and the Chocolate Iced KremeTM Filled Doughnut.
The expanded test will enable us to investigate customer demand and learn more about the operational effect on a bigger scale. This time, there are even more options for fans to sate their Krispy Kreme cravings, including McDelivery, the McDonald’s App, drive-through, and in-restaurant availability of donuts throughout the day.
While stocks last, they’ll only be available for a short period of time, so hurry over to your neighbourhood McDonald’s that is taking part to try one.
Krispy Kreme doughnuts are being temporarily tested at nine restaurants in the Louisville area by McDonald’s USA.
Chicago, October 18, 2022 The situation is about to improve for Derby City supporters. On October 26, nine McDonald’s locations in Louisville and the nearby area will launch a small operations test of a few Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Three of Krispy Kreme’s most well-liked sweets are available right now:
A melt-in-your-mouth donut glazed in Krispy Kreme’s distinctive glaze, the Original Glazed® Doughnut. The donut that got everything going.
A chocolate-flavored variation on the Original doughnut, the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut is hand-dipped in chocolate icing and dusted with multicoloured sprinkles.
The Raspberry Filled Doughnut has a glaze and a sweet-sour raspberry juice filling. A traditional fan fave.
At participating test sites, the doughnuts will be offered all day, only in-restaurant and drive-through, while supplies last. Customers can purchase them individually or choose from a variety of flavours or six packs of the Original Glazed®. The best bit, though? They will be delivered fresh to restaurants every day in pure Krispy Kreme style.
McDonald’s constantly seeks ways to offer our customers more of what they want, and we frequently run experiments to guide future menu selections. We will learn more about the potential effects of offering novel bakery items like Krispy Kreme from this small-scale test.
So Louisville, go ahead and purchase your favourite McCafé coffee and a Krispy Kreme doughnut. There isn’t a greater way to begin your morning, afternoon, or evening, in our opinion.
