Massey Ferguson® by AGCO introduces SimplEbaleTM for enhanced Hesston® Baler operations.

A new retrofit kit guarantees greater baler dependability, increases operational efficiencies, and enhances bale consistency.
March 22, 2023
DULUTH, GA | On February 14, 2023, SimplEbaleTM from AGCO Corporation’s Massey Ferguson® brand was unveiled at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California. AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AGCO) is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of agricultural equipment and precision ag technology. SimplEbale is an electronic aftermarket monitoring and control system that can be retrofitted onto Massey Ferguson Hesston® 1800 Series Small Square Balers, both new and old, and makes it easier for operators of all skill levels to produce reliably high-quality hay. SimplEbale will be made available for limited commercial use in 2024 and for complete commercial use in 2025.

SimplEbale-equipped balers will produce more consistent bales, operate more efficiently, and be more reliable than balers without the system. With only minor adjustments to their current machinery, farmers can choose the options that best fit their particular operations thanks to the solution’s modular design. The sensors, parts, and harnessing required to upgrade the baler’s operating system will be included in the package. The basic package includes the user interface, electronic fan control, flake counter, bale length monitoring, and cab-based hydraulic pressure readout and is compatible with a few aftermarket moisture systems. These parts offer improved machine visibility while it’s running and real-time information on the bale that’s being made. An automatic knotter lubrication pump, bale scales, LED lighting, and hydraulic density control are available enhancements.

The SimplEbale electronics bundle can be implemented with open-source software and hardware, and it will work with upcoming features. A flake-by-flake indicator that provides instant feedback allows operators to change ground speed without having to wait for a bale to tie is one example of the intuitive interface’s guidance that makes operation and maintenance simpler.

According to Dane Mosel, tactical marketing manager for Massey Ferguson North America, “SimplEbale delivers better hay with less work.” “SimplEbale is an affordable solution that demonstrates AGCO and Massey Ferguson’s farmer-first commitment to our customers and their operations,” says the company. “It can be retrofitted onto new and existing 1800 Series small square balers.”
