Lidl Ireland Partners With OOHPod Parcel Lockers

Lidl Ireland has announced a partnership with ‘out of home’ self-service parcel locker provider, OOHPod, to make parcel lockers widely accessible to customers. This initiative allows customers to pick up or return their online purchases while doing their regular shopping.

OOHPod is a service created by John Tuohy, a parcel delivery specialist, to offer shoppers more flexibility in receiving their online goods. Customers using OOHPod can have their parcels delivered to any Lidl store equipped with self-service lockers, regardless of the online store or carrier.

The integration with UPS enables customers to conveniently pick up and drop off UPS parcels by selecting the service through the UPS website.

In a strategic partnership with OOHPod and Lidl Ireland, the lockers will be progressively introduced to stores nationwide in the coming months. Lidl aims to simplify online shopping for customers with this expansion. The lockers operate 24/7, providing a secure option for shoppers to receive their purchases ‘out of home’ and reduce the risk of missed deliveries.

Currently, OOHPod parcel lockers are available at various Lidl Ireland stores, including Tyrrellstown, Charleville, Mitchelstown, Ballyvolane, Ballincollig, Bandon, Mallow, Cornmarket, Wilton, Dunshaughlin, and Navan. Further installations of lockers will be implemented at additional sites nationwide.

Avril O’Hehir, the chief administration officer at Lidl Ireland, emphasized the convenience and simplicity offered by OOHPod’s parcel lockers. The partnership reflects Lidl Ireland’s commitment to fostering sustainable relationships with industry leaders and the positive impact it can have in the future
