LIDL GB MAKES NEW APPOINTMENTS TO THE LEADERSHIP TEAM.

Today, Lidl GB revealed a number of new hires and changes to its executive team.

Maciej Tylkowski will share the role of Chief Operating Officer after joining the Board of Directors of Lidl GB. In close collaboration with the company’s current COOs, Tim Ulbrich and Matt Heslop, who are in charge of the sales and logistics departments, he will be in charge of Lidl GB’s supply chain.

Maciej has worked for Lidl for nearly 23 years and has been a part of the executive board for the last 17 of those years. He is currently the chief operating officer for Lidl Poland.

He joined Lidl Germany as a store assistant after earning an MA in Foreign Trade from the University of Lodz, then worked his way up to senior management roles. When Maciej returned to Poland in 2001, he took the lead in helping to launch the first Lidl shops there. He has been in charge of setting up and managing the central sales departments in recent years, assisting with shop operations.

As of 1 April 2023, Nan Gibson, who is presently the Chief Human Resources Officer at Lidl GB, has been promoted to senior vice president of human resources concepts at Lidl Stiftung.

Since September 2016, Nan has served as Lidl GB’s CHRO, where she is in charge of assisting the organization’s expansion and cultural transformation. She oversaw Lidl’s investment in pay and hiring, which included two wage increases for store employees last year totaling a joint £50 million investment. Prior to her departure, the retailer said it would devote an extra £13 million to pay increases for Lidl GB employees starting this month. This applies to hourly and salaried employees who work outside of the M25, with entry-level wage rates rising from £10.90 to £11.00 an hour.

Nan will be replaced by Stephanie Rogers, who is currently Lidl GB’s Director of Employee Lifecycle and Experience and has been working on improving the colleague experience and working on recruitment, development, career advancement, as well as employer brand and engagement, since she joined the company in 2022.

“I’m thrilled Maciej and Steph are joining our Board of Directors,” Lidl GB #CEO Ryan #McDonnell said. They both offer a wealth of experience to their new roles and will be crucial in supporting our growth even more.

“Let me also applaud Nan on her new position. Nan has significantly contributed to our development, nurturing our talent, and elevating us to the status of one of the finest employers in the nation. I’d like to thank her on behalf of all of my coworkers at Lidl GB and personally. I also wish her success in the future.
