Ivory Coast’s President, Alassane Ouattara, is going to raise the price that cocoa farmers get for their cocoa beans. 

Right now, they get 1,000 CFA francs, consistent with the kilogram; however, from Tuesday, it will likely be extended to 1,500 CFA francs. This means they’ll get extra cash forv their cocoa.

Some folks who work with cocoa and export it say that this choice came after a meeting on Saturday.

At first, the president stated the charge would be between 1,1 hundred and 1,2 hundred CFA francs in kilograms. 

But then he modified his thoughts and decided on the better charge of one,500 CFA francs.

The government and the agency that oversees cocoa charges could not be reached for comment.

Cocoa charges have been going up plenty within the beyond year due to issues like illnesses and terrible weather. 

But the fee that cocoa farmers get in Ivory Coast hasn’t long passed up as a whole lot. Now, with this decision, they’ll get more money for his or her cocoa.
