In Al Khobar, LuLu launches a new supermarket.
Through the launch of its newest hypermarket in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, LuLu Group has further increased its influence in the Eastern Area. In the presence of Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman of Lulu Group International, and other dignitaries, Hamad Bin Mohammed AlbuAli, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce Eastern Province, officially opened the hypermarket, which is the 30th in the nation.
The 100,000 square feet, one-level hypermarket, which is situated in the Al Rakkah neighbourhood, will offer a wide variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and seafood from around the world, as well as shopping options that capitalise on recent award-winning trends and an on-site bakery that will serve freshly baked breads and cakes. They include a large variety of plant-based meat alternatives and snacks, unique organic and superfood options, and a vast variety of “free-from” options.
There will be a specific focus on foods cultivated and made in Saudi Arabia, including farmed fish, the greatest cuts of locally butchered lamb and cattle, Saudi coffee, fruits and vegetables grown in Saudi Arabia, and delicacies prepared in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, the Al Rakah store will provide customers with the cutting-edge service of an electronic receipt for each transaction that will be sent as an SMS message to their phone upon payment at the checkout counter. For the first time in the kingdom, the store will feature a special Refills section where consumers can refill their packs with coffee, millets, spices, and pulses while they buy, helping the environment by using less packaging. The store will also emphasise sustainability.
