In Al Khobar, LuLu launches a new supermarket.

Through the launch of its newest hypermarket in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, LuLu Group has further increased its influence in the Eastern Area. In the presence of Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman of Lulu Group International, and other dignitaries, Hamad Bin Mohammed AlbuAli, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce Eastern Province, officially opened the hypermarket, which is the 30th in the nation.

The 100,000 square feet, one-level hypermarket, which is situated in the Al Rakkah neighbourhood, will offer a wide variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and seafood from around the world, as well as shopping options that capitalise on recent award-winning trends and an on-site bakery that will serve freshly baked breads and cakes. They include a large variety of plant-based meat alternatives and snacks, unique organic and superfood options, and a vast variety of “free-from” options.

There will be a specific focus on foods cultivated and made in Saudi Arabia, including farmed fish, the greatest cuts of locally butchered lamb and cattle, Saudi coffee, fruits and vegetables grown in Saudi Arabia, and delicacies prepared in Saudi Arabia.

Yusuffali MA, Chairman of the LuLu Group, commented on the occasion, saying, “We are proud to see yet another great retail addition to our growing circle of iconic stores, which is a testament to the fact that the LuLu Group has continued to expand and invest in the Kingdom even through the difficult pandemic months.”

“We will continue to support sustainable development initiatives since we are proud to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s overall development. We appreciate the prudent leadership, Yusuffali continued.

Additionally, the Al Rakah store will provide customers with the cutting-edge service of an electronic receipt for each transaction that will be sent as an SMS message to their phone upon payment at the checkout counter. For the first time in the kingdom, the store will feature a special Refills section where consumers can refill their packs with coffee, millets, spices, and pulses while they buy, helping the environment by using less packaging. The store will also emphasise sustainability.

Saifee Rupawala, CEO of the Lulu Group, Shehim Mohammed, Director of the LuLu Hypermarket Saudi Arabia, Moiz Nuruddin, Regional Director of the LuLu Eastern Province, Eng. Muhammad Ahmad Bubushait, Executive Manager of the LuLu Eastern Province, and other representatives were also present.
