In 2023, Aldi plans to add more than 6,000 additional positions.

This year, Aldi plans to add more than 6,000 new positions across the UK.

The grocery shop, which presently has over 990 locations and employs about 40,000 people, intends to keep growing through 2023.

Towns and cities including Norwich and Newcastle will get new stores, and Huddersfield and Shrewsbury will get new stores within the following month.

Also, the supermarket is presently hiring for 450 positions at its 11 Regional Distribution Centers in the UK.

Aldi pays store assistants a base wage of £11.00 per hour, with increases to £11.90 and £12.45 and £12.75, respectively, within the M25. The retailer also covers breaks.

Warehouse Selectors now make a minimum starting wage of £13.18 per hour thanks to a recent pay raise by Aldi, which also affected almost 7,000 other warehouse employees.

Aldi UK’s CEO, Giles Hurley, stated: “Demand for Aldi has never been higher as more and more customers realise they can make big savings on every purchase without compromising quality. It’s crucial now more than ever that we create dozens of new locations in order to make it even simpler for more people to purchase with us.

We are excited to welcome thousands more coworkers to Team Aldi during 2023 because “our success is contingent on the wonderful job that colleagues do, day in and day out.”
