Hussmann Unveils AIM Act-Compliant Self-Contained Refrigeration Line

-

As part of compliance to the AIM Act regulation, a Panasonic company, Hussmann, has launched a new series of self-contained refrigerated units. From January 2025, all self-contained refrigeration units will be required to have a GWP of 150 or lower.

Sustainable Cooling with Low GWP Refrigerants

These new self-contained refrigerant merchandisers now function with propane (R-290) and R-454C which are now an industry standard and are part of Hussmann’s Evolve Technologies portfolio developed to entice food retailers through eco-friendly technologies.

Why it matters:

For its efficiency and cost effectiveness, R-290 GWP of just 3 is unmatched.
R-290 and R-454C are superior than traditional energy-efficient HFCs.
There is no need to install additional refrigerant piping so installation and maintenance are straightforward.
Increased adoption of Hussmann self-contained refrigeration units
In the case of small and medium retail spaces, Hussmann self-contained refrigeration units are the best option. With the increase of self serving stores, these units have gained popularity because they are easy to install and modify.

Primary Benefits:

  • Plug-and-play for effortless operation.
  • More than 150 models are offered in both standard and custom configurations.
  • Every model is AIM Act compliant and is in stock for immediate ordering.

Future-Ready Refrigeration Compliance

In preparation for his AIM Act deadline, Hussman is furiously updating other refrigeration products to meet the requirement by 2026 and 2027. Retailers can search the web for important AIM Act regulations and compliant models.

This action continues to show Hussmann’s dedication to environmentally-friendly cooling solutions by allowing retailers to improve their refrigeration systems without sacrificing effectiveness.
