The Foundation FSSC recently announced the suspension of new CB applications for the FSSC 22000 Scheme for 12 months, until March 14, 2026, due to an increasing strain of new applicants to their system.
They have ensured about CBs that submitted their application prior to the March 14, 2025 deadlline will still be kept onboard. The rest of the applications received after this will be discarded.
These unused pauses in applications will allow the Foundation to address the selected CBs in the application pool CBs that pause in application workload and the Integrity Program team to focus on other areas that require more attention.
Application procedure:
The application process for a licensed FSSC Certification Body (CB) requires first meeting the CB criteria laid out in the relevant FSSC Scheme (FSSC 22000 or FSSC 24000) for licensing application in part 4, section 2.1 of both Schemes.
If you would like to be appointed as a CB after meeting the prerequisites, kindly fill out the Scheme-based application form (which you can find in the link below) and send the completed application to FSSC via email at [email protected], so that they can begin the process for issuing the CB license.
FSSC will consider your application after you forward the application form. In case your application is favorable, you will be onboarded into the FSSC Onboarding Program. Further information regarding this Program will be provided once you reach out to FSSC post submitting your application request.
