Denmark’s Salling Group Unveils New BilkaToGo Delivery Service

Danish retailer Salling Group has unveiled a fresh delivery initiative under its Bilka chain, allowing customers to choose from a diverse array of 30,000 products.

The newly introduced BilkaToGo delivery service is a collaboration between the retailer and 3F Transport. Denmark’s Sailing Group’s will initiate deliveries starting August 15 from several locations including Skalborg, Tilst, Vejle, Odense, Hundige, and Ishøj, with more locations set to join later.

This expansion builds on the initial launch of BilkaToGo as a click-and-collect service accessible at Bilka stores. Mark Nielsen, the Director of Bilka, highlighted the strategic utilization of their existing store network across the country, particularly the Bilka hypermarkets, which are well-suited due to their store size and extensive product selection at competitive prices.

Denmark’s Sailing Group’s CEO emphasized that this move to delivery complements their existing efficient picking and packing setup. The retailer emphasized their rigorous testing of this new approach in recent months and expressed a commitment to continuously refine and enhance the service based on customer needs.

In an important development, Salling Group recently secured a collective agreement with 3F Transport to facilitate this service.

Jan Villadsen, Chairman of 3F Transport, expressed contentment with the collaborative agreement, highlighting the positive conditions it brings for all employees and the constructive dialogue with Salling Group.
