Deere provides aftermarket choices for fresh displays, modems, and receivers.

New G5 Universal displays, a new JDLinkTM M modem, and the StarFireTM 7000 Universal receiver are all offered as aftermarket options from John Deere. These products make it simple for farmers to update existing machinery or repair worn-out parts so they can benefit from current and emerging technology.

The G5 Universal displays offer a 35% larger viewing area, three times faster processing speed, and a high-definition screen when compared to prior John Deere displays. There are two variations of the G5 Universal displays: the G5 with a 10.1-inch display and the G5Plus with a 12.8-inch display. Farmers will value the new features and improved user interface that the new screens offer. The purchasing process is made simpler by G5Plus’ inclusion of AutoTrac, Documentation, and now Section Control in base. With the G5 Advanced package’s automation features like AutoTracTM Turn Automation, AutoPathTM, Machine Sync, and In-field Data Sharing, farmers can significantly increase their in-field output and performance. The G5 Advanced software license offers these advantageous features at a reduced initial cost, improves over time, and you only pay for what your farm requires.

According to Christopher Murray, marketing manager for John Deere, the G5 Universal display increases the amount of space that can be used on run pages and makes it simpler for you to operate your machinery and benefit from emerging technology like autonomous. By selecting the G5 Advanced package that is best for your machine, you can increase the simplicity and accuracy of every run.

The StarFire 7000 receiver, which was released last year, has a repeatability of more than five years, pull-in times that are 73% faster, and accuracy that is 17% higher when using SF-RTK compared to earlier versions using SF3 signal. The highest level of guidance and accuracy John Deere has ever provided is now available thanks to enhanced signal stability and reliability. Farmers can now, as an aftermarket option, upgrade their equipment with a StarFire 7000 Universal receiver for greater functionality or to swap out old GPS receivers for increased accuracy and repeatability.

On John Deere and other equipment and vehicle brands, the JDLink M modem is available for installation in as little as 15 minutes, making it simple to record machine and work data and facilitate data transfer from those machines.

According to Ryan Stien, marketing manager for John Deere, the JDLink M modem was developed with legacy machinery, mixed fleets, and support vehicles in mind. “We want to make sure that every client can take advantage of the advantages that connectivity offers. Connectivity makes it simpler to do things like share agronomic data, watch logistics, or assist their dealer in receiving equipment alerts. Customers have access to the G5 Universal displays, StarFire 7000 Universal transceiver, and modem as they move toward the future of precision agriculture.
