Danone Doubles Down on Global Partnerships Program

-

Danone is set to enhance its Global Partnership Program in its growth strategy (P4G) and aim to broaden its scope in the next two years. The French multinational food company, Danone, plans on doubling its Partner for Growth (P4G) program within the next two years.

This program, which was established just last year, has already received positive acknowledgement, exceeding their expectations. Danone has signed 19 new strategic partnerships and eight joint business development plans, which is significantly higher than their planned ‘checklist’.

One may ask “why are these partnerships of such importance?”. The answer lies with innovation and sustainability. It stretches from newcomers to elderly companies, including even innovative and educational institutions.

Hese partnerships are also helping Danone achieve great strides towards sustainability and at the same time improving competitiveness and efficacy of the company.

Vikram Agarwal, Danone’s Chief Operations Officer, seems to be very excited about the success of the program. He accounts these collaborations for creating shared value along with rapid transition to a future that is more climate-minded.

However, this goes beyond merely improving yogurt products. Danone is working with ENGIE, the company that works on decarbonization of the industrial plants. Another partner is SPX FLOW which has projects aimed at water and energy saving.

In sustainable agriculture, Danone collaborates with Ajinomoto, Corteva, and FrieslandCampina to implement sustainable farming methods.

Danone’s head of research and innovation, Isabelle Esser, enthuses about the scientific opportunities. These partnerships, she says, are broadening Danone’s capabilities and fostering innovation.

Danone’s global partnership program will likely increase the supply of innovative and sustainable products for sale in supermarkets, benefitting consumers and the environment.
