Carrefour Launches the Rebranding of Cora Stores

Carrefour rebranding Cora stores kicks off this October, marking a new chapter in French retail. The supermarket giant is set to transform 60 Cora locations across the country.
The makeover will happen in three waves, starting October 1st. Shoppers won’t face any closures during the two-week transition period. They’ll see their local Cora slowly turn into a Carrefour.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Cora’s 17,000 employees to the Carrefour family,” says Julien Munch, Carrefour France’s Operations Director. He’s excited about serving new customers too.
What’s in store for Cora’s loyal shoppers? They’ll soon enjoy Carrefour’s popular house brand. It’s been France’s favorite for four years running. Plus, they’ll find lower prices on over 3,000 items.
But it’s not just about new logos and cheaper groceries. Carrefour is bringing its “Act for Food” program to these stores. This means more organic and sustainable options on the shelves.
Local foodies, rejoice! Carrefour plans to keep stocking regional specialties. They’re also promising exciting promos on everyday essentials. It’s like getting a new store without losing the old favorites.
The rebranding isn’t just a fresh coat of paint. It’s a full makeover, inside and out. New signage, staff uniforms, and a broader product range are all part of the plan.
Carrefour isn’t wasting any time. The first 19 stores will debut their new look by October 25th. The rest will follow suit by mid-November. Each wave ends with a big celebration to welcome customers.
Looking ahead, Carrefour has more tricks up its sleeve. In 2025, they’ll roll out their loyalty program and financial services to these stores. It’s like they’re saying, “Thanks for shopping with us. Here’s a little extra.”
This rebranding is part of Carrefour’s bigger picture. They want to make quality food accessible to everyone. It’s not just about selling groceries. It’s about promoting better eating habits and sustainability.
So, if you’re a Cora shopper, get ready for some changes. Your local store might look different soon, but the friendly faces behind the counters will stay the same. And who knows? You might find some new favorite products along the way.
As France watches this retail transformation, one thing’s clear: Carrefour is shaking things up in the supermarket world. It’s not just business as usual. It’s a whole new shopping experience in the making.
