Asda, the renowned UK supermarket giant, is gearing up to launch its most extensive Tickled Pink campaign ever, and it’s all in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. The supermarket chain has pulled out all the stops, with over 200 exclusive pink products set to hit the shelves. But this isn’t just about pretty packaging; it’s about making a real impact in the fight against breast cancer.

A Splash of Pink for a Noble Cause

Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign is an annual event that has been running for 27 years. This year, it promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more than 50 different suppliers contributing to the cause. The goal is to raise vital funds for two essential charity partners: Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!. These funds will support groundbreaking breast cancer treatments, crucial education initiatives, and life-changing support for those affected by the disease.

Iconic Brands Join the Cause

Some of the biggest names in the business are joining hands with Asda for this noble endeavor. Brands like Diet Coke, Heinz Baked Beans, and, in a historic first, Warburtons Toastie Loaf, are all getting a pink makeover for this special campaign. It’s a powerful symbol of solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.

A Shopping Experience with a Purpose

Starting from the 21st of September, customers can purchase these exclusive pink products both in-store and online. The range is diverse, spanning from Diet Coke cans and Warburtons Toastie Loaf to Fibre One Strawberry & Cream Doughnuts, Heinz Baked Beans, and even Cushelle Quilted Toilet Roll. It’s a shopping experience where every purchase counts, as each product carries a fixed donation towards the cause.

More Than Just Products

Asda is not stopping at products alone. Their own-label product range, including Shades household items and various plants and flowers, is also part of the campaign. These include Shades Tissues, Kitchen Towels, and a selection of house plants, all contributing with every purchase. The Tickled Pink Flower Bouquet, available all year round, is another way customers can show their support.

Fashion with a Message

The fashion-conscious can also participate in this movement. George at Asda has launched an exclusive Tickled Pink clothing range, featuring items like a pink ribbon t-shirt, a canvas pink ribbon bag, socks, and a three-piece nightwear set. What sets these pieces apart is that they carry a breast awareness message, printed both inside the garments and on swing tag labels, serving as a constant reminder for self-checks.

Promoting Self-Check Awareness

But Tickled Pink is not just about shopping; it’s about promoting awareness. Asda’s 2023 campaign urges people of all ages, genders, and ethnicities to become Real Self-Checkers, establishing a regular breast checking routine. In-store displays will share the personal stories of five individuals who have embraced this practice, emphasizing the importance of early detection.

A Dual Benefit for Customers

Asda is also introducing its very first charity rewards mission. Customers who purchase four products from the Tickled Pink range will receive £1 in their cash pot. It’s a win-win situation, where both charity partners and customers benefit from these thoughtful contributions.

Uniting for a Common Cause

The Asda Tickled Pink campaign works in close collaboration with its charity partners, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!. Together, they are on a mission to make regular breast checks as common as a routine supermarket visit. The funds raised will support crucial breast cancer treatments, education, and awareness initiatives, placing breast cancer awareness on everyone’s priority list.

Act Now, Shop Pink

Asda’s 2023 Tickled Pink collection will be available in stores across the UK and online from the 21st of September throughout October. Whether you make a one-time donation or opt for the 70/30 split donation with every purchase, your contribution will play a vital role in the fight against breast cancer. Join Asda in making breast self-checks a part of everyone’s routine and help save lives.
