There will be three new whisky labels available in over fifty Asda stores.
The Loch Lomond Group is celebrating the listing of three of their newest whisky brands in over 50 Asda stores located throughout Scotland just in time for Burns Night by raising a glass. A 10-year-old Single Malt Whisky from Loch Lomond, a Classic Single Malt Whisky from Glen Scotia, and a Campbeltown Harbour Malt Whisky from Glen Scotia are the three new items that may now be purchased in stores and online in advance of the celebrations.
Both the 10-year-old Single Malt Whisky and the Classic Single Malt Whisky that are produced by The Loch Lomond Group are distilled at their world-famous whisky distillery in Loch Lomond. This distillery features a variety of distinctive distilling methods, such as swan and straight-neck stills, as well as an in-house cooperage.
The Single Malt Whisky products are distilled in their signature style, with notes of orchard fruits, honey, and vanilla, and a wood smoke finish. The Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour is the perfect single malt whisky, filled with toffee and caramel notes that complement the touch of sea spray savoriness from the Scottish coastal maturation. This whisky was named after Campbeltown Harbour, which is located in the Scottish Highlands.
The Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour Malt Whisky is produced in one of the only three distilleries that are still operational in Glen Scotia, a region that was formerly known as the “Victorian Malt Whisky Capital of the World” and that featured a total of over one hundred distilleries at one point in time.
The Scottish supplier currently has 13 goods listed within Asda stores, and Glen’s 1 liter vodka was recently listed nationwide, which means that it is now available in Asda stores across the UK as well as online.
According to Loch Lomond Group’s National Account Manager, Justin Lyle, who stated:
It is wonderful that we are able to further strengthen our partnership with Asda, which will allow us to offer a larger distribution of our products throughout Scotland.
“Our Loch Lomond Single Malt Whisky products are distilled in our characteristic style with notes of orchard fruits, honey, and vanilla, and they end with a wood smoke flavoring.” Our Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour single malt whisky is the epitome of a great single malt whisky, brimming with flavors of toffee and caramel that are complemented with a hint of saltiness imparted by our coastal maturing process.
Just in time for Burns Night, we are excited to share our one-of-a-kind, high-quality local Scotch whisky with the customers of Asda.
Asda’s Local Buying Manager for Scotland, Ashley Connolly, made the following statement:
“We are pleased to continue our successful partnership with the Loch Lomond Group by adding three new Scotch whisky products to over 50 stores across Scotland. We know that our customers adore this well-known Scottish brand, and it is wonderful to see the company grow along with us and further expand their distribution and reach across Scotland.
“We are constantly on the lookout for new, inventive, and quality products from local producers, and these new whisky lines are precisely that,” the company said in a statement. “We are convinced that our customers will appreciate these as a wee dram as part of their Burns Night festivities.”
