Aldi making change to ‘feminine hygiene’ aisle in all branches

Aldi is updating the signage in its stores for items such as tampons, towels and panty liners to now refer to them as ‘period products’. The UK’s fifth-largest supermarket is rolling out the new signage across all its more than 960 stores from ‘Feminine Hygiene’ to ‘Period Products’ in July, to better reflect how people talk about periods.It’s website has also been updated to reflect the change.

Richard Shuttleworth, Diversity and Inclusion Director at their  UK, said: “We are pleased to have renamed the category both in-store and online to better reflect how shoppers feel about period products.”
