According to Which?, Aldi will be the most affordable supermarket of the year in 2022.
This is the sixth victory in a row for the supermarket, which was awarded the most affordable place to purchase a selection of 48 different products during the month of December.
Following the completion of the consumer advocacy organisation Whichannual ?’s pricing comparison of UK supermarkets, Aldi was determined to be the most economically viable option across the board.
It will come as no surprise to many people that Aldi has once again been revealed as the retailer that will save shoppers the most money on their weekly shop. Having also won the accolade in 2021 and being named the UK’s Cheapest Supermarket for the last seven months of 2022, it will come as no surprise to many people that Aldi has once again been revealed as the retailer that will save shoppers the most money. According to the results of the most recent annual poll conducted by Which?, which looked at the prices of various groceries and staples for the home such as bread, milk, and eggs, Aldi has been determined to be the cheapest supermarket in the UK.
The Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, Julie Ashfield, stated that the company is “extremely happy” to have been selected the Cheapest Supermarket of the Year for the fourth time. As we embark into the new year with ongoing unpredictability and additional difficult times ahead of us, we want to reassure our consumers that Aldi is unwavering in its commitment to offering them with the highest possible quality items at the most affordable rates imaginable. We are overjoyed that Which? has chosen to acknowledge our hard work for the second year in a row.
Which? conducted research in December and discovered that compared to the most costly supermarket, Waitrose, Aldi was a staggering £30.99 cheaper than Tesco, £11.79 cheaper than Sainsbury’s, and £14.08 cheaper than Sainsbury’s.
