ALDI CALLED THE MOST POPULAR SUPERMARKET IN ENGLAND.
According to the most recent YouGov polling results, Aldi is the nation’s favourite grocery store.
In a research, consumers gave Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, and Morrisons a worse ranking than Britain’s fastest-growing supermarket.
It happens at the same time as the supermarket welcomed an additional 1.3 million shoppers* as people try to save costs amid the current crisis in the cost of living.
unbiased price comparison by trade publication The Grocer also discovered that Aldi was 24% more expensive on average than the Big Four supermarkets, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, and Morrisons. Aldi was also acknowledged by Which? as the UK’s Cheapest Supermarket after winning the distinction for two consecutive years.
“We realise that with the rising pressures of the cost of living, people are looking for methods to save more than ever, while still looking for high-quality inexpensive food,” said Richard Thornton, communications director at Aldi.
Aldi maintains its reputation for providing high-quality goods at incomparable costs, which is why we think British consumers have once again chosen us as their preferred supermarket.
