The Ahold Delhaize Human Rights Report 2024 highlights the organizations steadfast commitment to protecting people’s rights locally and globally through all its branches and channels of supply. This principle forms part of the Ahold Delhaize Growing Together Strategy.

Major Accomplishments and Initiatives

According to the Ahold Delhaize Human Rights Report 2024, many strides have been made by their local brands. For instance, Dutch brand Albert Heijn released a supplier brochure on gender equality and women empowerment while Belgian brand Delhaize pledged for a living wage in the banana sector. Additionally, Romanian brand Mega Image introduced the Mega Ability program which offers employment opportunities to persons with disabilities. The Foundation of HRC has recognized all divisions of Ahold Delhaize U.S.A. as Best Places to Work for LGBTQIA+ Equality.

Improving Sustainability Due Diligence

In 2023, Ahold Delhaize implemented sustainability due diligence as the replacement for human rights due diligence. Under this system wide-ranging social and environmental impacts were considerin line with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). According to the AholdDelhazeHumanRightsReport2024, what happened is that they examined their Standards of Engagement so as to match them up with broader sustainable development objectives; this involved responsible recruitment as well as updating high risk countries among others.

Future Plans And Evaluations
