SPAR Hillfoot Road, which is located in Ayr, Scotland, held a party on January 19 to celebrate its relaunch after undergoing an extensive store refit. The store is not far from the intersection of Holmston Drive and Hillfoot Road. Major investments have been made in the company-owned store in Scotland that is operated by SPAR to bring it up to speed with the company’s most recent modern SPAR store models and to support their initiative to become more energy efficient.
A brand new, colourful SPAR fascia has been added to the exterior of the store, along with updated window graphics and new external signage. On the inside, there has been a comprehensive renovation that included the installation of new flooring, a new ceiling finish, new lighting, new shelving, and a new counter.
“Our ambition is to bring everything that our neighbours in our local community would expect to see in their local store,” said Steve Irons, SPAR Scotland Company Owned Stores Operations Director. “Our ambition is to bring everything that our neighbours in our local community would expect to see in their local store.” The expansion of our snacking and ambient product lines, as well as the strengthening of our chilled product and fruit and vegetable selections, has been a primary focus in order to fulfil the requirements of each and every meal.
A substantial amount of money has been invested in the expansion and improvement of the refrigeration equipment and space. The takeout food section gets a significant facelift in terms of both the self-service options and the items that are served at the counter area. The area that houses the beers, wines, and spirits has also been upgraded, and customers can now purchase chilled versions of both wines and beers.
The layout of the store takes into consideration the shopping missions that customers have, and it assists customers in locating complementary products in helpful locations.
The labelling of prices has been completely brought up to date with the installation of electronic shelf edge labels that are easily readable, along with large digital screens that display information on current promotions and the products themselves. Signage boards that are highly visible, vibrant, and illuminated complete the overall look of the retail establishment’s interior as well as provide direction for the placement of individual products.
Every single light source is an energy-efficient LED, and the lighting in the various storage areas is controlled by motion sensors.
Following in the footsteps of other SPAR company-owned stores in Balmacara, Gatehouse of Fleet, Spean Bridge, and Crosshouse, this is the most recent store in the SPAR Scotland portfolio to receive a significant remodel.
