Minneapolis, September 12, 2024 – Target announces the Cuddle Collab, a limited-edition pets collection launching in stores and online on September 21. The collection offers over 180 unique items, including matching accessories for pets and humans and stylish home décor. Prices start at just $3, bringing modern designs from pet influencers to pet lovers.
Target’s Cuddle Collab marks its first exclusive pets collection. Jill Sando, Target’s executive vice president, emphasizes the focus on celebrating pets as family. “This collection extends our design expertise to the whole family, pets included.”
The Cuddle Collab collection offers cozy sweatshirts, hats, charms, and accessories for pets and their humans. Customers can personalize matching necklaces and collars through the custom charm bar. Other items include modern pet beds, cat condos, and pet-themed bookends. Stanley products like bowls and tumblers are also featured. Additionally, the collection includes a variety of seasonal treats and playful toys for pets.
Meet the Pet Influencers
The Cuddle Collab draws inspiration from six dogs and five cats, collectively known as “fur-fluencers,” who have over six million Instagram followers. These influencers include Ellie and Emma, two therapy dogs, foodie dog Popeye, fashionista pups Ghost and Wren, and cats Zelda, Titus, Brave, and the pet duo Baloo and Pan.
Each influencer designed themed capsule collections within The Cuddle Collab. Their unique personalities and favorite activities inspire every product, providing pet owners with personalized items for their furry friends.
Celebration and Engagement
To celebrate the Cuddle Collab, Target will host in-store events and giveaways at select locations on September 21. These events will help deepen the connection between pets and their owners. Target also launches The Pets of Tarjay, a five-part social series that humorously portrays life from a pet’s perspective. The series will showcase Cuddle Collab outfits and products, encouraging viewers to engage with the collection.
National Pet Takeover Campaign
In a fun advertising campaign, Target’s mascot Bullseye and other pets take over a Target store. Pets roam the aisles, selecting their favorite Cuddle items, with playful scenes like pets using self-checkout and taking selfies.
