CAMDEN, N.J., September 10, 2024 – Campbell’s Chunky announced the launch of the third annual Chunky Sacks Hunger program, partnering with NFL teams and Dexter Lawrence, New York Giants Defensive Lineman, to help fight hunger in the U.S. Throughout the 2024-25 NFL season, Chunky will donate 1,000 meals to Feeding America for each sack made across the league, up to 2 million meals. The initiative reflects Campbell’s ongoing commitment to supporting communities and addressing food insecurity.
Peter Herron, Marketing Director for Campbell’s Chunky, expressed excitement about the program’s expansion. “Chunky and the NFL have been fighting hunger for over 25 years. We are thrilled to broaden Chunky Sacks Hunger to a league-wide effort,” Herron said.
Dexter Lawrence serves as the national spokesperson for this year’s campaign, leading a team of NFL players dedicated to making an impact. “It’s amazing to know that making sacks on the field will help people in need off the field,” said Lawrence.
The initiative’s other NFL ambassadors include Brandon Graham of the Philadelphia Eagles, Frank Ragnow of the Detroit Lions, and Sam Hubbard of the Cincinnati Bengals, among others. Fans can follow the program’s progress via a national sack counter available on the Chunky website.
In addition to donating meals, Campbell’s Chunky has collaborated with Homage, a vintage-inspired apparel company, to offer fans a unique way to support the cause. Twenty percent of net sales from every Chunky Sacks Hunger t-shirt sold will be donated directly to Feeding America.
Since its inception in 2021, the Chunky Sacks Hunger initiative has provided over five million meals to communities across the U.S. Through partnerships with NFL players and Feeding America, Campbell’s Chunky remains committed to combating food insecurity.
For more than 150 years, Campbell’s Chunky has been a trusted name in food and philanthropy, continuing its legacy of giving back while ensuring people enjoy meals they love.
