At Wakefern’s store locations across New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware and Maryland the walk-in job fair will take place from 11am to 2pm.
The biggest retailer-owned cooperative in the United States, Wakefern Food Corp. operates supermarkets under a number of different banners through member companies that own and operate grocery stores. In order to help those who are looking for career opportunities or valuable retail experience, the Wakefern’s banners will be hosting job fair events on Saturday, July 27th.
Interested candidates can speak with a hiring representative for an immediate interview opportunity by visiting most participating stores. Different locations offer full-time positions as well as part-time jobs or management roles.
General clerks, perishable clerks (such as produce or meat department), front end (cashiers, etc.) and stocking clerks are among available positions with flexible hours and many cross-training opportunities throughout the store. Some training programs include a game-based training app and designed to build a foundation for employees working together as a team anywhere in the store.
Each job provides career growth opportunities while playing an important role in running the entire Wakefern cooperative along with its retail banners and stores. Many family-owned supermarkets also give associates entertainment/tuition discounts plus scholarship chances too. For 78 years Wakefern has been about communities & commitment – we’re built by community minded families who own businesses together!” said Joseph Colalillo of ShopRite in a statement released Monday morning announcing these events which can be found on their website among other places like Price Rite Marketplace’s site or The Fresh Grocer’s site.
